MaineGeneral Medical Center’s (MGMC) primary purpose is to provide birth to end-of-life health care services to the 88 communities of the Kennebec Valley. We strive to enable access to appropriate prevention, diagnostic and treatment resources to improve and maintain patient quality of life. As a not-for-profit MGMC provides millions of dollars’ worth of charity care each year to help address health as an obstacle to successful engagement in daily living.
