The Penquis Foster Grandparent Program is for volunteers, aged 55 and over, who volunteer a minimum of 15 hours a week with children at sites such as schools and Head Start centers. Benefits include a stipend, paid holidays, earned time, and assistance with transportation. Volunteers who serve with in the Foster Grandparent program provide the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on a path to a successful future. Foster Grandparents report better health and longevity having served their community.
