We URGENTLY need more people to assist! Come volunteer with us! There are several different roles to attract a variety of people with different backgrounds.

 

You don’t need to be a tax expert—we provide all the training and ongoing support you’ll need to succeed. Volunteers assist with everything from greeting people at tax clinics to preparing tax returns using a simple online program. All that’s required is a willingness to learn and a desire to help others.

Become a Volunteer DriverSeeking Volunteer Drivers to Transport Our Passengers

Do you have a reliable car, a desire to help others, and some free time? KVCAP Transportation Services is seeking individuals who are ready for a rewarding experience as a KV Van Volunteer Driver.

KV Van Volunteers are used to drive our passengers to medical and social service appointments throughout Maine. Drivers receive a generous mileage reimbursement for their service.

Requirements:

· Valid Maine Drivers License

· Good Driving Record (Past 10 Years)

· 21 years of Age or Older

· Current Vehicle Registration & Insurance

· Ability to Pass Background Checks


Benefits:

· Choose your schedule — A few hours or few days

· ROUNDTRIP REIMBURSEMENT, up to $0.67 per mile

· Mileage reimbursement is nontaxable and it doesn’t impact any benefits (ex. Social Security, MaineCare, SSI/SSDI, etc.).

· Maine State Vehicle Inspection —REIMBURSED!

· Eligible for discounts on auto parts and repairs through specific local businesses

· There is no “I” in Team, but there is a “U” in Volunteer!
