Augusta Age Friendly is seeking volunteers for our Augusta Maine transportation sub committee committed to safe and affordable transportation to needed services and desired activities. We are looking at safe streets, sidewalks, lighting, bicycle lanes, public and volunteer transportation options, and long term inter-city transit options...assess, develop, implement, educate, evaluate...come and bring your ideas to the table!

Augusta Age Friendly is looking for volunteers to review our range of housing options and home modification programs here in Augusta. What are our needs, what works, what doesn't? Kick back with others, have a cup of coffee and toss around your ideas. This does not have to be a major time commitment, but rather your opportunity to join in with our community to identify opportunities and identify partners to carry out defined actions. Assess, develop, implement, evaluate!

Augusta Age Friendly is looking for volunteers for our outdoor spaces sub-committee to look at accessible services, social and recreational opportunities in Augusta. We are looking for people to work together to identify opportunities, create opportunities, and identify partners to carry out defined actions. There is not a large time commitment, rather bring your ideas, sit back with your coffee and toss out ideas to the group, how to execute and evaluate what works.

Augusta Age Friendly is looking for volunteers for our Augusta sub committee that is looking for social and civic engagement opportunities with peers and younger people. Grab you cap and a cup of Joe, sit down with others from our community to identify and create opportunities and who we can partner with to carry out defined actions....not a big time commitment, just big ideas is all you need...for example, can seniors team up with little league ?   let's develop ideas, implement ideas, evaluate ideas together.

Throw your ideas into the pot with other like minded Augusta residents, identify who we can partner with, what supports our community needs, stir the pot and assess what comes to the surface, develop your ideas, then implement and follow up by evaluating how the ideas work, stir the pot again. Time commitment can be only as much as you want, ideas are yours to put out there.
