According to a recent study by the University of Maine-Muskie Center, in Maine, One in Five people will experience sexual violence in their lifetime. This shocking statistic has outraged many of us in our community. We have decided to take a stand against sexual violence by running or walking at this event in support of those survivors in our own home towns.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and this year our premier awareness/fundraiser event is our 6th Annual “One in Five” 5K Event being held on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Thomas College, in Waterville, Maine. We are anticipating over 700 participants and their families to attend the event.
