Ignite the potential of a child facing adversity in your community!
If you're a caring, committed high school student looking to make a difference in your community, you could be a Big! Get involved at one of our School-Based Mentoring Programs across mid-Maine. Check out our partnering programs in Kennebec County:
-Gardiner Area High School serving the Boys and Girls Club of Gardiner
-Waterville, Winslow and Lawrence High Schools serving the Alfond Youth Community Center (AYCC)
-Messalonskee High School serving Williams Elementary School, Atwood Elementary School and the AYCC
-Cony High School serving Sylvio Gilbert Elementary School
As a Big you will be matched with an elementary school child for about one hour a week. You and your Little will hang out, play games, do arts and crafts, play on the playground, or other activities you choose together. It's that simple- friendship and time is what matters.
If you have one hour a week during the school year to offer a child your friendship, your time, and the commitment to be present each week, you could be a Big!
