Description

The Community Literacy Forum is a community-wide opportunity to discuss ideas, gather knowledge from community stakeholders, and spread awareness about relevant literacy issues facing our community. Strong literacy skills help people reach their potential personally, professionally and economically.

This event is coordinated with International Literacy Day which was established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1965 celebrating the 8th of September every year to emphasize the significant importance of literacy to individuals, society, and communities.

Our hope is to use this opportunity to bring our community together to find ways to build, encourage, strengthen and support literacy for all.

Please join Literacy For ME Augusta Team and Literacy Volunteers of Greater Augusta at this Literacy Forum and be a part of this important community conversation to learn about the literacy needs in our community and share your thoughts about improving literacy in our community.
